Sunday, July 31st we will be showing the classic French film King of Hearts by director Phiippe de Broca.

A visual treat from 1966, full of comedy and imagination. This beautiful film touches on war, insanity and love, with a quirky French style. Join us for our 5th month of free movie nights in our lovely courtyard under the stars. Feel free to bring any refreshments you would like. We will be serving popcorn to our guests and selling organic fair trade chocolate.

This movie is completely free, but we will be taking donations to help rebuild our house from the Tea Fire (if you wish to contribute.) We hope to see you there!

This month at Blue Lotus our featured movie is Ron Frick’s masterpiece, Baraka.

This movie is a visual journey through culture, spirituality and nature. Shot completely without dialogue, this film travels through the world capturing beautiful shots that tell the story through the visuals. This movie will be breathtaking projected in our courtyard under the Summer night sky.

Join us at 9pm, Saturday June 18th at 135 East De La Guerra.

On Sunday, May 15th from 7:30pm – 9:00pm Blue Lotus will be showing Miyazaki’s Anime, Spirited Away. This movie is completely free and we will supply popcorn for viewers.  We have an awesome outdoor space available to project movies on the wall behind our shop at Blue Lotus: 135 East De La Guerra St. in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.

We chose this movie to share an example of beautiful Anime in appreciation of Japanese culture and what better way to enjoy it than under the stars! We will be accepting donations for Direct Relief International to help the victims of the tsunami. Feel free to bring any drinks or snacks you like. This is a monthly event we just started where we project movies in the courtyard off the side of the building. It is such an enjoyable experience to sit in the historic district of downtown Santa Barbara and watch a classic movie for free under the stars. We encourage our guests to bring friends and their own drinks or food if they would like. We provide free popcorn and sell gourmet Theo chocolate. We acccept donations to help cover the costs of the chair rentals. These movie nights are really a blast and we hope you can join us. Blue Lotus Jewelry brings you creations by Barbara and Erica Nelson. This mother daughter team combines culturally inspired designs with organic elements. Blue Lotus is based out of Santa Barbara, CA.
